Dear artists and writers,

this year My Gay Eye opens its pages to the Bordello – a house of hustlers, sinners, and saints of sex - in the literal and figurative sense.

We invite your stories, your drawings, your photographs, your poems, your fantasies. Surprise us. Shock us. Seduce us. Let your work explore the bordello as a place of lust, longing, and liberation.

  • Hustlers and johns, pimps and players

  • Crime, survival, seduction, and spectacle

  • Orgies, dens of vice, temples of ecstasy

  • The raw, the wild, the verboten – yet always beautiful

Enter the Bordello. We’re waiting.

Texts: please submit your poetry, short stories and essays edited and ready for publication. Word count: 1500 words maximum. doc or docx

Images: should be approx. 20x15 cm / 8x6 in (or double the size for horizontal 2 page spreads), 300 dpi. PSD, TIFF or JPG. CMYK

The book will be approximately 400 pages.

Conditions and Terms of Publication: please include your year and place of birth, and if possible your website. 

The publisher, Claudia Gehrke / Konkursbuch also needs your written permission to use your text or images for My Gay Eye / Mein schwules Auge 22 and the promotion thereof – please use separate form.

Deadline for all contributions is November 30, 2025 

The book will be published in Spring 2026.


The submission is free of charge, all participants in the EU will receive a free copy of the book. Contributors from outside the EU will receive a digital copy of the book. The books will be sent out approximately 6 weeks after publication.

dieses Jahr widmet sich My Gay Eye dem Bordello – einem Ort der Stricher, der Sünder und der Heiligen des Sex, im wörtlichen und übertragenen Sinn.

Wir laden Euch ein, uns Eure Geschichten, Zeichnungen, Fotos, Gedichte und Fantasien zu schicken. Überrascht uns. Schockiert uns. Verführt uns. Erforscht in Euren Beiträgen das Bordello als Ort der Lust, der Sehnsucht und Freiheit.

-    Verbrechen, Überleben, Verführung und Spektakel
-    Orgien, Lasterhöhlen, Tempel der Ekstase
-    Roh, wild, verboten – und doch immer schön

Das Buch wird ca.400 Seiten haben.

Veröffentlichungsbedingungen: Für die Veröffentlichung wird fürs Autorenverzeichnis Geburtsort und -jahr und wenn vorhanden eine Homepage benötigt. 

Außerdem braucht der Verlag aus rechtlichen Gründen eine schriftliche Bestätigung, dass mit dem Beitrag keine Rechte Dritter verletzt werden, bzw. der Text- oder Bildautor rechtlich alleinverantwortlich ist und der Beitrag in der Anthologie veröffentlicht werden darf. (Vordruck separat)

In 2018 My Gay Eye had a very successful collaboration with the Tom of Finland Foundation (Los Angeles). The TOM OF FINLAND FOUNDATION SPECIAL issue includes many originals from their huge collection of erotic art.
The BERLIN SPECIAL in 2019 presented the renowned German artists Rainer Fetting, Eva & Adele, Norbert Bisky, and Wolfgang Tillmans.
A successful first exhibition on Mein Schwules Auge in Schwules Museum (Berlin) took place in 2006, which subsequently went on to the Galeria Carmen de la Guerra (Madrid) as La mirada gay. Since then we organized various commercial exhibitions in private galleries in Berlin and Munich as well as several presentation in Los Angeles.

For 40 years Konkursbuch Verlag Claudia Gehrke in Tübingen, Germany has published the anthology Mein heimliches Auge (My Secret Eye) which deals in words and pictures with eroticism of every type and has long established a cult status. The great success of the series prompted the publisher to launch two “children” Mein lesbisches Auge (My Lesbian Eye) and Mein schwules Auge (My Gay Eye). Our anthology has been published in two languages, German and English since 2018.

How do I submit my work?

My Gay Eye has an Open Call for submissions from April till June every year. The link to the Open Call guidelines and submission form will be published on the home page as well as on social networks.
The anthology is published every year in October.
